Rachel Scarponi, M.Ed., LPCC

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. I am passionate about helping people engage in therapy using an individualized approach. I believe that every person is unique, and I want to work with you to identify how to best meet your goals. I practice from a trauma informed lens using a variety of theoretical approaches. I have specific training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I have a background providing both individual and group therapy to adults in a community mental health setting. I have experience with a range of issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, addiction, relationship conflict, and personality disorders. I will work with you using evidenced-based treatments in order to help you grow, reinforce your own strength, and meet your personal goals. In the words of Brené Brown, “I now see how owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.”
