Kelly DiTurno is a licensed social worker and experienced trauma psychotherapist offering compassionate, person-centered care to adults and families throughout the greater Cleveland area. With over 13 years of experience across clinical, community-based, and nonprofit settings, Kelly specializes in working with individuals navigating complex trauma, serious mental illness, grief and loss, caregiver burnout, and aging-related challenges.

Kelly’s therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and a deep commitment to trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and anti-oppressive care. She is trained in multiple clinical modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Her past work includes providing  intensive trauma psychotherapy, EMDR, and psychoeducation program development and facilitation  at Hopewell Therapeutic Farm, Grief Counseling and Caregiver Support at Hospice of the Western Reserve, The Nord Center. Kelly’s understanding of client and family systems and her passion for  collaborating  with trans-professional teams to support post-traumatic growth and sustainable well-being are core to her philosophy of practice.

Kelly holds master’s degrees in Social Science Administration (MSW equivalent) and Nonprofit Organizations from Case Western Reserve University, as well as a dual undergraduate degree in Sociology and American Cultural Studies from Miami University. She is currently pursuing independent licensure in Ohio.

Guided by Fred Rogers simple maxim, “If it’s mentionable, it’s manageable,” Kelly believes that healing happens within intentional relationships and that all people deserve access to affirming, adaptive, and enduring support throughout life’s most difficult transitions.
