Carrie Price, Ph.D., LPCC-S.

Dr. Carrie Price, LPCC-S is a practicing counselor with more than 15 years’ experience in community mental health agencies as well as non-profit and private practice, working specifically with people struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Adept at multiple disciplines of counseling, including Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivation Interviewing, she excels at tailoring counseling programming towards individual needs with a focus on positive outcomes and sustainable results.
Receiving her master’s degree from University of Akron, and a Doctorate from Kent State University, Dr. Price has remained involved in the academic world as an adjunct faculty member at Kent State University. She has over 10 years experience teaching master’s level courses in counseling skills, diagnosis, psychopathology, practicum and case conceptualization and treatment planning.
In addition to her active practice and teaching schedule, Dr. Price has also published research on partial hospitalization programming and group work and has presented on ethics and group work at state and regional conferences. She remains a committed student determined to expand her therapeutic skillset and is currently working towards certification in EMDR.
Carrie has held a number of counselor, supervisory, and directorial positions over the last decade and half, in various healthcare settings. Carrie has great appreciation for each opportunity to utilize her skillset, experience, and empathy to help people make constructive strides in mental wellness and substance use recovery.
